What Is a Talisman?

 

A Talisman is an active cooperation of earthly “beings”: stones, plants, animals and water objects to bring the owner healing.  Everything created is sentient and has energy; healing energy.

 

When a Shaman makes a talisman for someone, the Shaman concentrates on what the main issue is that the talisman is meant to help heal. Then the Shaman goes into nature and asks for assistance from Mother Earth to bring together those natural elements who wish to volunteer to help heal the wearer. The natural elements are different in each case. It is the Shaman’s own awareness and connection to the energies of these elements and the elements’ own desire to assist in this healing that bring together the contents of the talisman for that particular person. A talisman contains its own energy for healing a particular condition for a particular person. No two are the same.

 

Because the contents of a talisman are already in agreement and have their own intentions to heal the client, no faith is required on the part of the client to make the talisman effective. All things are connected and through the Shaman’s own skills, those objects that are wiling to assist in the healing of that client gather together and are contained in usually a leather pouch with prayer, ceremony, communication and in Union with Creator for the client’s highest good.

 

So the talisman contains a healing energy of its very own, activated and energized by the Shaman, blessed and sealed with the permission of Creator, for that client.

 

Talismans can be made by a Shaman to prevent injury, to protect from danger, to overcome obstacles, to heal any dis ease of mind body or spirit. It is a never- ending, positive, active force or combined sentient energy to promote healing and protection.

A Talisman then is a gift from Creator and from Mother Earth to help you along your path.

You talisman will be carefully and individually gathered together using the elements of fire, air, water and earth as they choose to cooperate in your specific need. Each talisman contains unique objects within a small pouch for you to carry on your person for at least 21 days. When you forget about it, it forgets about you. So it will remain tuned into you and energetically working for you until you no longer wish it to work.

 

The price is negotiable. It is not something for sale in a store. We commonly use money for value exchange and it is good to exchange something of value for something of value. You are exchanging for the time and work of Shaman Maggie as she creates this talisman for you, not for the healing energy contained in the talisman. It can take up to a week for Shaman Maggie to find and connect all the objects who wish to volunteer for your intent. So you can suggest a value exchange for the talisman that feels right in your heart when you write. There is no set cost.
