Although Shaman Maggie is not a professional drummer, the drum speaks for itself. Its picture is on the face of the CD. This ceremony is to guide the listener into a state of healing and peace. If you listen closely you will hear the harmonic resonance of the drum and the notes it pours forth of its own accord. These harmonic notes change during the course of the 30 minute recording and become the melody of the healing song.
Shaman Maggie plays a 1, 2, 3, 2 rhythm during this time of silent prayer and healing and this sequence can be used to adjust your breathing rate, breathing in on the first two and out on the last two. This breathing rhythm is conducive to the Schumann Resonance Response, a state of great relaxation.
The CD begins with the heartbeat of Mother Earth, of you, of Creator, of all things, to bring that connection, that unity into your consciousness. Some say it feels like being in a womb once again listening to the heartbeat of one.s mother. Shaman Maggie says it is the heartbeat of the universe that we are all one with. The drumming then slows down into a very basic rhythm to open one up to this healing power of Creator. Here, there is an intense sense of calm and something about to happen.
The rhythm then goes to the 1, 2, 3, 2 beat and you begin to travel along as though you were riding a camel or a wonderful boat among the waves.
